Open studio sessions allow you to explore textile upcycling and clothing construction with projects of YOUR choice- with the assistance of Louisa Thompson.

Studio equipment includes: sewing machines, overlock machine, embroidery machines, hand sewing / embroidery, and other craft practices.

Louisa will help you plan, design, and implement your ideas.

Multiple sessions may be required to complete a project

Sessions are 2hr minimum and include set up/ clean up.

Please book a short zoom introduction to meet Louisa, discuss your interests and make a plan!

Recommended starter projects:

Join two pieces of clothing- create a new garment!

Deconstruct a pair of jeans- use the pieces and parts for a new item!

Embelish a shirt or piece of fabric with applique

use small sections of garments with pockets to form a new tote or container.

This is an environment for learning, exploring, and freedom. Open studio is for youth and adults who want support and equipment to explore sewing and fabrication!!
